20 reasons why exercise is required to stay healthy and young

Are you doing exercise everyday ?

If you are interested in staying young and wish to have healthy life, I suppose you care for exercise as well besides foods life, life style, and keeping healthy mind.

People get old from their feet and legs, and our daily walking influences our health.

How long do you walk everyday ?


It’s said it’s good to walk 10,000 steps a day, and people who care for their health are checking how many steps they walk a day.

Walking an hour a day , or at least 30 to 40 minutes daily can keep your legs and feet stronger, and body healthier.

According to one of the studies which was conducted In Northern California, approximately 20% of subjects reported that they had had no vigorous activity for the past twenty years.

In that study, 13% of the colon cancer cases could be attributed to physical inactivity.

There is another study which says too much exercise or sudden exercise especially for people who are over 40 years old, can hurt your body.

Even people who are under 40 years old can hurt their body if one start hard exercise ( such as jogging, swimming etc.. ) from the beginning.


Slowly starting is better.

If you feel tired and hard to continue, it’s a sign to stop. And take a break until your feeling is better.

The fact is there are many people who suddenly passed away during their exercise.

One of my aunts ( over 70 years old ) also had a problem while she was swimming doing butterfly, the most tough swimming. Even though she has been swimming a long time, she had a stroke .

Too much is always no good in just about everything.

Your body will give you the sign of warning before something happens.

The point is it’s good to do what you love which you can enjoy, always you can feel fun to do it because our mind influences everything so if doing exercise makes our feeling stress, it’s not good for health.

Because too much exercise can make you stress if you do too seriously or thinking like “ have to do it for my health even I don’t want to “ instead of having fun.

Any exercises which can make you feel good during and after is good and can help your health.

In my case, I love walking around nature, dancing, doing yoga poses, 5 Tibetan Rite, or Taichi,

Also playing ping pong, badmington, beach ball, or skating, aquatics or swimming.

No exercise is absolutely not good for health and there are so many people who are having many problems with their health from lack of workout & exercise such as illness , walking problem in the future.

Also enjoy it while doing the exercise and listen to your body and your feeling.

2. Exercise can improve circulation which has myriad beneficial health effects.

3. Exercise can decrease blood pressure.

4. Exercise can make your heart stronger.

5. It burns calories and helps you maintain a healthy weight. Exercise is essential for keeping off lost weight.

6. Exercise decreases inflammatory markers. ( C- reactive protein.)

7. It helps to control your blood sugar and thus helps to manage or prevent diabetes.
8. Exercise increases your cognitive ability , including your ability to concentrate and remain alert.

9. Exercise before or after a meal diminishes the rise in potentially harmful triglycerides ( a type of fat )

10. Exercise decreases your risk for metabolic syndrome.

11. Exercise can decrease the levels of “bad“ low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and increase the level of “good” high density (HDL) cholesterol.

12. Exercise can reduce back pain.

13. Exercise lowers your risk for upper respiratory infections.

14. Exercise helps relieves arthritis.

15. Exercise lowers your overall risk of dying prematurely.

16. Exercise can make you stronger and more flexible.
17. Exercise particularly weight-bearing exercise, can make your bones stronger.
18. Exercise increase your level of endorphins - brain chemicals that increase your sense of well-being.
Thus exercise can improve mood and could even fight depression.

19. Exercise reduces the frailty of old age.
